Firstly, you need to confirm the email account's connection settings. You can do that by visiting the cPanel, and the other way to do this is by selecting Email Accounts under the Email heading.
In case you are using a mail client listed under the Autoconfiguration Scripts, you need to download the script for the client and protocol that you like to use by selecting the appropriate link.
You need to know that the cPanel scripts that are used to support the email clients, and the scripts may not work with the latest version of Outlook or Mac Mail.
In case, you won't able to use the scripts, you can get the manual settings by selecting the Configure Mail Client.
